The recent focus of security on ports and waterways has led shipping
companies and port facilities to seek partners in order to secure their
facilities and comply with international, federal, and state codes and
statutes. Adesta has taken a leading role in helping these entities achieve
their goals. As active members in the security community, Adesta continues
to lead the industry in maritime security and communication needs.
The partner of choice for one of the nation's most critical seaports, Adesta
gave the Port of Corpus Christi and Port Authority officials more than just
advanced technology. By assessing current strengths and weaknesses, adding
security enhancements, and providing on-going management, Adesta led the
Port to the forefront of maritime security while enabling officials to
reduce manpower and increase efficiency.
Adesta was selected by the Maryland Port Administration to design and
install a sophisticated security system at the Port of Baltimore. The wide
ranging project will include the installation of a remote video surveillance
system as well as enhancements to terminal perimeter security. The system
also includes a fully scalable communications and electronic security
network.
Adesta was also chosen to enhance security at the Port of Beaumont, the
nation's top commercial strategic port for handling military cargo. Adesta
will design and build an automated video surveillance system that will
maximize the effectiveness of the Port's current system and also allow for
future security upgrades.
