Bob Sommerfeld
President
As President of Adesta, Bob Sommerfeld directs the strategic focus of new business development and coordinates the governance of construction, installation, maintenance and operations of the company's communications and security networks. He has over 30 years of industry experience, including numerous previous roles at Adesta. He has held the position of President since 2000 and currently sits on the Security Industry Association (SIA) Board of Directors. Prior to joining Adesta in 1991, Mr. Sommerfeld gained 17 years of experience with engineering consulting firms where he provided engineering and construction management services to the telecommunications industry.
Jim Kawamoto
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Jim Kawamoto is the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Adesta. In this role, Mr. Kawamoto is responsible for the financial performance of the company. He oversees internal and external financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, transaction processing, insurance and bonding programs, and the accounting controls and procedures for the home and field offices. He has also worked for Peter Kiewit Sons', Inc. and began his financial career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen's audit group.
William (Bruce) Downing
Vice President, Operations
As Adesta’s Vice President of Operations, Bruce Downing is responsible for all construction and operational issues with Adesta’s telecommunications business. He is accountable for manpower coordination, monitoring contract performance, vendor/subcontract negotiations and maintenance of customer relationships. Mr. Downing has over 25 years of experience in the infrastructure construction and maintenance industry in various craft and supervisory roles.
Thomas Gillette
Vice President, Security Operations
Tom Gillette is Adesta’s Vice President of Security Operations. With 30 years of security experience, Mr. Gillette directs and coordinates the operational activities of Adesta’s three security divisions. He previously worked for DRS Radian where he had overall senior management responsibility for the design, installation, operations and maintenance of electronic security systems at a variety of U.S. government facilities. Mr. Gillette’s past experience also includes ASEC and 10 years in the U.S. Army.
Misty Stine Vice President, Business Development Misty Stine is the Vice President of Business Development for Adesta. She has senior management responsibility for the company’s sales and marketing initiatives. As such, Ms. Stine leads a marketing and sales-force strategically located throughout the United States. She has over 25 dedicated years of experience in both the Communications and Security industries.
Greg Benak
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Greg Benak is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Adesta. He is responsible for the management of all matters relating to the legal affairs of the company. Mr. Benak has over 20 years of experience as an attorney in private practice and as in-house counsel to two Fortune 500 companies.
Lee Fintel
Vice President, Project Development
Lee Fintel is Adesta’s Vice President of Project Development. He has senior management responsibility for the internal development of new business opportunities, including oversight of Adesta’s proposals, bids and the company’s qualification activities. He directs the functional areas of engineering, cost estimating and proposal development. Mr. Fintel has over 20 years of experience in the industry including several previous roles at Adesta. Prior to Adesta, Mr. Fintel spent eight years working in the telecommunications engineering, construction and construction management industry.
John Huerter
Vice President and Treasurer
John Huerter is Vice President and Treasurer of Adesta. As such, he is responsible for company-wide resource management including cash management, procurement and risk management, as well as directing the Adesta Internal Audit Department. Mr. Huerter also worked for Peter Kiewit Son's, Inc. and has over 20 years of experience in public and private accounting.
Mark Berner
Vice President, Support Services
As Vice President of Support Services, Mark Berner has senior management responsibility for the human resources and information systems functions of Adesta. Over the years, he has been involved in a variety of the company's activities across several disciplines, including accounting, administration and operations. Mr. Berner previously worked for MFS Communications, Peter Kiewit Sons', Inc. and Arthur Andersen and Co.
Glenn Shaffren
Vice President, Adesta Broadband Networks
Glenn Shaffren is Vice President of Adesta Broadband Networks. This division of Adesta specializes in the development of wired and wireless networks and network systems integration. Mr. Shaffren has held a number of executive management positions in the telecommunications industry over the last 25 years, including President and CEO of Compass Communications. Mr. Shaffren has been responsible for fiber and wireless projects for a number of municipalities and state agencies and has also become a recognized industry leader in Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) projects.
