The Security Industry Association represents the business interests of manufacturers, service providers and integrators of electronic physical security equipment. They are devoted to supporting their members by advocating pro-industry policies and legislation on Capitol Hill and throughout the 50 states, producing leading-edge global market research, creating open industry standards that enable integration, advancing industry professionalism through education and training and opening global market opportunities.

Every year, SIA has an annual meeting which brings together hundreds of major players in the security industry. This year it took place in New York City at the end of October. During this meeting it was announced that Adesta’s President, Bob Sommerfeld had been appointed to the Board of Directors. This means Bob will now be a decision maker and advisor on one of the largest security associations in the world.
